Philippine Airlines Extends Airbus Flight Hour Services Support Across Fleet

Philippine Airlines has extended its long-term partnership with Airbus by signing a new Flight Hour Services (FHS) agreement covering its A350, A330 Family and A320 Family aircraft. The renewed arrangement supports the airline’s ongoing focus on fleet maintenance, availability and operational planning.

Under the extended contract, Airbus FHS will support nine A350 aircraft, 11 A330 Family aircraft and 43 A320 Family aircraft. The agreement includes component support through standard exchange, component repair, reliability management and engineering services, along with the provision of on-site component stock at Philippine Airlines’ main base in Manila. The scope is intended to support fleet availability, operational reliability and maintenance cost visibility.

Airbus FHS and Philippine Airlines have worked together since 2018, when the initial FHS agreement was signed to support the airline’s A350-900 fleet. The partnership was expanded in 2022 to include the A320 and A330 fleets, reflecting the airline’s continued use of Airbus’ multi-fleet maintenance services.

Commenting on the agreement, Anand Stanley, President Airbus Asia-Pacific, said the extension reflects the established relationship between the two companies and their shared focus on consistent operational support. He added that providing component services and on-site support in Manila will help Philippine Airlines manage fleet performance and maintenance planning over the long term.

Airbus Flight Hour Services provides maintenance and component support solutions designed to help airlines manage aircraft availability and operating costs. The programme draws on Airbus’ engineering resources, digital tools and operational data to support airlines across multiple aircraft types.
