Paradise Resort Evia Opens as Radisson Individuals’ First Resort in Greece
Paradise Resort Evia Strengthens Radisson Individuals’ Presence in Greece
Radisson Hotel Group has announced the opening of Paradise Resort Evia, a member of Radisson Individuals, in Eretria on the Greek island of Evia. The 322-room beachfront resort marks the brand’s first resort property in Greece and expands its presence across Mediterranean leisure destinations.
Located less than two hours from Athens by road, the resort combines beachfront accommodation, wellness facilities, sports amenities, dining venues and event spaces, offering visitors access to one of Greece’s increasingly recognised island destinations.
Evia Gains Attention Among Travellers
The opening comes as Evia attracts growing interest from travellers seeking Greek island experiences beyond the country’s busiest tourism destinations. Known for its coastline, mountain villages, thermal springs and archaeological sites, the island offers a mix of cultural and natural attractions while remaining easily accessible from Athens.
Joep Peeters, Chief Operating Officer Franchise EMEA at Radisson Hotel Group, said the opening reflects the group’s continued focus on expanding within Mediterranean leisure markets and introducing guests to destinations with a strong local identity.
Beachfront Location Near Cultural Attractions
Situated along the Eretria-Aliveri Road on the western coast of Evia, the resort provides convenient access to several of the island’s notable attractions.
The Archaeological Museum of Eretria is located a short drive away, while visitors can also explore Chalkida, known for the Evripos Bridge tidal phenomenon. Other nearby destinations include the Edipsos Thermal Springs and the mountain village of Steni Dirfyos.
Athens International Airport can be reached in approximately one hour and 45 minutes by road, making the resort one of the more accessible island destinations in Greece.
Accommodation for Families and Leisure Travellers
Paradise Resort Evia offers 322 guest rooms, private garden bungalows and family suites designed in a low-rise Mediterranean style. The accommodation is intended for couples, families, groups and longer leisure stays, with layouts that connect guests to the surrounding gardens and coastline.
Dining Inspired by Mediterranean Hospitality
The resort features five dining and bar venues serving Mediterranean and international cuisine.
Its main restaurant offers all-day dining, while El Greco Restaurant provides an à la carte menu in a more intimate setting. Guests can also visit the Ouzeri Bar, which specialises in traditional Greek spirits and meze.
Additional venues include a pool bar and a lobby bar, creating a variety of dining and social spaces across the property.
Wellness, Recreation and Sports Facilities
The resort includes a full-service spa with treatment rooms, sauna facilities, relaxation spaces and an indoor swimming pool. Guests also have access to a fitness centre equipped with cardio and strength-training equipment.
Outdoor facilities include three swimming pools, a dedicated children’s pool and a private beachfront area with watersports activities.
Sports facilities include tennis courts, paddle courts, pétanque, basketball, five-a-side football, and beach volleyball, offering a wide range of recreational options during a stay.
Facilities for Meetings and Events
Paradise Resort Evia also caters to corporate and social events through a selection of indoor and outdoor venues. Meeting spaces can accommodate up to 160 guests in standard configurations and up to 240 attendees when combined for larger gatherings.
The resort’s location near Athens and its beachfront setting make it suitable for conferences, corporate retreats, weddings and private celebrations.
Expanding Resort Options in Greece
With its combination of accommodation, dining, wellness and event facilities, Paradise Resort Evia introduces a new addition to Greece’s hospitality sector while further expanding the Radisson Individuals portfolio in the Mediterranean region.
