The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat has announced the appointment of Shiv Yadav as its new Director of Finance. In this role, he will oversee the property’s financial operations. With an impressive track record and extensive experience in hospitality finance, Shiv will be instrumental in shaping the financial strategy, optimizing operational efficiencies, and driving the hotel’s continued success.
Shiv previously excelled as the Director of Finance at Fairfield by Marriott, Kolkata, where he refined financial processes, ensured compliance with industry standards, and fostered a culture of financial discipline. His visionary leadership significantly improved the property’s financial performance.
Prior to that, Shiv was the Financial Controller at Accor, Pune, where he managed financial planning, analysis, and reporting, enhancing the hotel’s financial standing. Additionally, at Marriott International, Kolkata, he held senior finance positions, including Cluster Finance Manager and Assistant Manager of Finance, where he oversaw multi-property financial operations, developed strategic plans, and delivered sustainable financial growth.
Shiv’s career includes roles at esteemed organizations such as Radisson Hotel Group, Prowess International, and The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, Kolkata. His experiences with these leading brands have sharpened his versatility and depth in finance and accounting.
He began his professional journey as a summer trainee and later became a corporate trainer at Tata Steel in Jamshedpur, where he built a solid foundation in finance and corporate training. Shiv boasts an impressive academic background, which includes a Certificate in Financial Accounting and Analysis from the Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru, an MBA in Accounting and Finance from SRM University, a Bachelor of Commerce from Ranchi University, and specialized training in Computer and Information Science from DOEACC, New Delhi.
As the Director of Finance at The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat, Shiv Yadav will drive the hotel’s financial strategy, enhance operational controls, and contribute to Marriott International’s broader vision for growth and innovation within Kolkata’s hospitality landscape.
