Refined Retreat: Mumian Shanghai Expo Joins The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with Shenzhen Yuen Kai Hotel Management Co., Ltd. Located along the Huangpu River in the city’s Expo zone, the hotel offers views of the river and skyline while blending traditional Haipai culture with modern comfort.
A Mansion-Inspired Cultural Escape

The hotel draws design inspiration from the idea of a “secret garden mansion,” combining Oriental aesthetics and classic Shanghai style. It offers 332 guest rooms, suites, and serviced residences, many with views of Lujiazui. Interiors emphasize clean design, natural light, and subtle cultural elements to create a calm yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Dining options include:
SUGAR PAVILION: an all-day venue with speciality coffee, desserts, and rotating art exhibitions.
Xiao Nan Yang Restaurant: serving Huaiyang and Shanghainese cuisine, along with fusion dishes and a curated wine list.
Additional features include:
Zhuguang Rooftop Garden (18,300 sq. ft)
Zhuguang Art Gallery, hosting rotating exhibitions
Two flexible meeting and event spaces
Well-Connected Urban Setting
Located at the junction of Expo Avenue and Expo Park, the hotel is within walking distance of the China Art Museum, Expo Centre, and Power Station of Art. It also offers access to central business districts like Lujiazui and Qiantan, blending culture, commerce, and green spaces in a single location.
