Minor Hotels gains recognition in 2026 T+L 500 list
Global Hotels’ portfolio of Minor Hotels expands presence across regions
Minor Hotels has reported a strong year, with ten of its properties included in the 2026 T+L 500 list published by Travel + Leisure. The inclusion marks an increase from the previous year and reflects the group’s growing international presence across multiple regions.
Asia had the most recognized properties, including five hotels under the Minor Hotels’ Anantara brand. In Vietnam, the Anantara Hoi An Resort was praised for its location in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and its emphasis on local cultural experiences. Additionally, Anantara Quy Nhon Villas was recognized for its villa-style accommodations and personalized services.

In Sri Lanka, Anantara Kalutara Resort, developed on the final project site of architect Geoffrey Bawa, was included for its design and setting, which sit between the lagoon and the ocean. Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort was also listed, reflecting its coastal location and integrated guest experiences. In the Maldives, Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas continued its presence on the list, supported by its overwater accommodation and marine environment.

In Europe, two properties in Italy were featured. Anantara Convento di Amalfi Grand Hotel, located in a restored 13th-century monastery on the Amalfi Coast, was recognised for its heritage-led redevelopment. In Rome, the Anantara Palazzo Naiadi Rome Hotel was included, positioned within a historic structure overlooking Piazza della Repubblica.

Across Africa and the Middle East, Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort was listed for its distinctive design and location within Dubai. Kilindi Zanzibar, part of the Elewana Collection, was also recognised, reflecting its pavilion-style accommodation and coastal setting. In South America, Tivoli Mofarrej São Paulo Hotel represented the group’s presence in Brazil’s urban hospitality segment.

Dillip Rajakarier, Group CEO of Minor International, said the inclusion of ten properties highlights the scale of the company’s portfolio and the consistency of its offerings across different markets.

The T+L 500 list is compiled from the results of the 2025 World’s Best Awards conducted by Travel + Leisure. It features hotels and resorts selected by readers based on their experiences. The list is presented alphabetically by region and serves as a reference for travellers seeking accommodation options worldwide. The full 2026 edition appears in the May issue of the publication, with selected highlights available online.
