Minor Hotels Outlines New Openings and Relaunches Planned for 2026

From the peaks of Sichuan and the landscapes of Zambia to the beaches of Mooloolaba, Sliema, and the Maldives, Minor Hotels is preparing to introduce guests to a broad line-up of new and renewed destinations in 2026. Each opening and transformation reflects the group’s focus on thoughtful experiences, considered design, and a sense of place.

Asia and the Indian Ocean

Anantara Hua Hin Resort – Hua Hin, Thailand

Relaunched: 1 November 2025

Anantara Hua Hin Resort, the property that introduced the Anantara brand, will reopen with a refreshed look for its 25th anniversary. The resort’s 171 renovated guest rooms and suites, including new Pool Access Rooms, are set within gardens inspired by a traditional Thai village. Features include an updated main pool, a dedicated lagoon pool and bar for adults, and an expanded Active Zone with recreational and CrossFit equipment. Dining updates include the introduction of Sea.Fire.Salt, a contemporary grill and seafood restaurant overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, along with renewed dining venues. Families will have access to a larger Kids’ Club, a Mini Farm, and a variety of activities, including pickleball, tennis, and Muay Thai boxing, all near the extended beachfront.

NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort – Baa Atoll, Maldives

Anticipated Opening: 18 December 2025

NH Collection Maldives Reethi Resort will open after a revitalisation of the island property. The resort includes 105 beach and overwater villas, 16 of which offer private pools, all designed to align with the island’s natural setting. Guests can explore Baa Atoll’s marine environment, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, with snorkelling and diving near Hanifaru Bay. Facilities include seven dining venues, the REVIVE spa, beachfront and main pools, and an activity centre. This marks NH Collection’s first property in Baa Atoll and second in the Maldives.

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel – Bangkok, Thailand

Anticipated Relaunch: Q2 2026

Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel will undergo a significant enhancement, including redesigned guest rooms and suites, an updated Kasara Lounge, a new arrival experience, and a signature Jim Thompson Suite. The hotel will also add six new Garden Suites featuring private plunge pools and landscaped outdoor areas. The transformation aims to strengthen the hotel’s connection to Thai culture through design and guest experiences.

Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel – Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Anticipated Opening: Q2 2026

Avani Kota Kinabalu Hotel will introduce 200 contemporary guest rooms and suites in Sabah’s capital. Highlights include rooftop dining with coastal views, an AvaniFit gym, and convenient access to the waterfront, markets, and cultural landmarks. The hotel will offer flexible social spaces and practical amenities for modern travellers, marking Avani’s debut in Malaysian Borneo.

Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane – Vientiane, Laos

Anticipated Opening: Q2 2026

Avani+ Lanexang Vientiane will bring modern style and Laotian influence to the city centre. The hotel will feature 197 guest rooms and suites, as well as four dining venues, including an all-day restaurant, a western comfort-food concept and bar, and a Southeast Asian fine-dining option. Facilities include Avani Spa with five treatment rooms, an Avani Fit centre and studio, an outdoor pool, and event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

Anantara Xiling Snow Mountain Resort – Chengdu, China

Anticipated Opening: Q4 2026

Located near Xiling Snow Mountain, the first Anantara in Sichuan province will offer 150 guest rooms and suites with views of the surrounding landscape. The resort will include dining venues, an Anantara Spa & Wellness experience, and access to year-round outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and nature trails.

Australia

Avani Mooloolaba Beach Hotel – Sunshine Coast, Australia

Anticipated Opening: Q2 2026

Located 100 metres from Mooloolaba Beach, the hotel will offer 180 guest rooms and suites designed around coastal living. Facilities include three dining venues, with a restaurant and bar on the 12th floor overlooking Mooloolaba Beach, Point Cartwright, and the Glasshouse Mountains. Wellness offerings include AvaniSpa and the AvaniFit training facility.

Middle East and Africa

Anantara Dubai Downtown Hotel – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Anticipated Relaunch: Q1 2026

Anantara Dubai Downtown Hotel will reopen following a complete renovation of its 252 guest rooms and suites. Accommodation ranges from 52 sqm rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows to 235 sqm suites with private balconies and pools. The signature restaurant, Ziya, will offer international cuisine, brunch, and courtyard dining. The location provides access to the Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, World Trade Centre, and Dubai International Financial Centre.

Anantara Kafue River Zambia Tented Camp – Kafue National Park, Zambia

Anticipated Opening: Q2 2026

Situated within Kafue National Park, this tented camp will feature ten villas, including a 400 sqm Presidential Villa, and three Horizon Terrace Suites elevated 14 metres above ground. The camp’s design promotes natural water flow and wildlife movement. Interiors combine contemporary elements with local materials. Activities include game drives, river safaris, and wellness experiences inspired by regional traditions.

Tivoli La Vie Muscat Hotel – Muscat, Oman

Anticipated Opening: Q2 2026

Tivoli La Vie Muscat Hotel will offer 79 hotel rooms and 100 serviced branded residences designed with Omani cultural elements. Dining options include three venues, with a SEEN rooftop restaurant and bar. Facilities include an Anantara Spa, a rooftop pool, and event spaces for business and social needs.

Tivoli and Avani Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resorts – Bilaj Al Jazayer, Bahrain

Anticipated Opening: Q4 2026

Two new resorts will open at Bilaj Al Jazayer. The Tivoli resort will feature 100 guest rooms and suites, while the Avani property will include 110 rooms and suites. Both will offer direct beach access, dining options, wellness facilities, and family-friendly amenities. The openings mark Minor Hotels’ entry into the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Europe

NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées – Paris, France

Launched: 1 November 2025

NH Collection Paris Ponthieu Champs-Élysées marks the brand’s entry into Paris. Located in the 8th arrondissement, the 87-key hotel features preserved early-20th-century architecture and newly renovated interiors. The hotel’s neo-bistro, L’Angle des Champs, offers interpretations of Parisian dishes and Spanish-inspired recipes.

Tivoli Palazzo Risorgimento Lecce – Lecce, Italy

Anticipated Opening: Q2 2026

This 45-key hotel is housed in a historic building near Lecce’s main piazzas. Facilities include a restaurant, a rooftop lounge bar with views of the Cathedral Bell Tower, a wellness area with a pool, treatment rooms, a Turkish bath, and a gym. The hotel’s location provides access to Lecce’s Baroque landmarks and nearby beaches in Puglia.

NH Collection Sliema Malta – Sliema, Malta

Anticipated Opening: Q4 2026

Minor Hotels will open NH Collection Sliema Malta in the coastal town of Sliema. The hotel will offer 268 guest rooms and suites, all within walking distance of the promenade, shops, and dining. Facilities include a spa and wellness centre, rooftop bar with sea views, swimming pool, and a signature restaurant.

These developments represent part of Minor Hotels’ plans for 2026, with additional announcements expected in Japan, Egypt, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas. With four new brands launching in 2025—The Wolseley Hotels, Minor Reserve Collection, Colbert Collection, and iStay Hotels—the group continues to expand toward its target of exceeding 850 properties by 2027.
