Hyatt Opens Kennedy 89 in Frankfurt Under The Unbound Collection
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of Kennedy 89, a full-service hotel located in Frankfurt’s Sachsenhausen district. The property marks the latest addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt in Germany and represents Hyatt’s first full-service hotel in this part of the city.
Kennedy 89 has been developed with a design approach that draws on historical context while addressing the needs of today’s traveller. The concept takes inspiration from John F. Kennedy’s 1963 visit to Frankfurt, using elements associated with optimism and cultural exchange rather than recreating a specific era. Mid-century design references, skyline-facing balconies, and curated social spaces are integrated to create a contemporary hospitality experience.
The hotel is located in the Sachsenhausen district, known for its art galleries, music venues, and traditional apple wine taverns. Guests are within walking distance of the Main River promenade, the Städel Museum, the Liebieghaus, and Schweizer Strasse. Frankfurt’s city centre and key transport links, including Frankfurt International Airport, are accessible within a short drive.
Kennedy 89 features 180 rooms, including 69 suites. All accommodations include private balconies with city and skyline views, as well as in-room kitchens designed for a residential-style stay.
Dining at the hotel includes Eighty Nine Restaurant & Bar, which focuses on Levantine-inspired, shareable cuisine, and KaSa Lounge & Bar, offering comfort dishes and classic cocktails influenced by John F. Kennedy’s personal preferences. A rooftop venue, Jack’s Rooftop Bar, is scheduled to open in July 2026 and will provide city views in an outdoor setting.

Additional facilities include a 24-hour fitness studio equipped for cardio, strength training, yoga, and stretching, with Peloton bikes planned for introduction. The hotel also offers four flexible meeting and event spaces, each equipped with integrated audiovisual technology, suitable for both small gatherings and larger functions.
With the opening of Kennedy 89, Hyatt continues to expand its presence in Germany, adding a property that combines location-driven design, residential-style amenities, and full-service hospitality in one of Frankfurt’s established neighbourhoods.
