IndiGo Airlines has announced the introduction of direct daily flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow Airport (LHR) starting 26 October 2025

The service will make London the airline’s second destination in the United Kingdom, following the launch of flights between Mumbai and Manchester earlier this year.

The flights will be operated daily using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on wet/damp lease from Norse Atlantic Airways, configured with two cabin classes – Economy and IndiGoStretch. The service will include complimentary hot meals and beverages for all passengers. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase in Economy Class and offered complimentarily to IndiGoStretch customers. Each seat features an individual screen with inflight entertainment options. Bookings are open through  the IndiGo mobile app, and authorized travel partners.

Pieter Elbers

Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo, said, “Entering Heathrow, a key global hub known for its scale and connectivity, is both a proud milestone and a strategic step forward in strengthening IndiGo’s global footprint. The India-United Kingdom corridor has long held significant relevance, not only because of strong bilateral ties, but also due to the growing traffic between the two countries driven by students, visiting friends and relatives, business and leisure travellers. After the outstanding response to our longhaul debut flights to Manchester, we are excited to set foot in London, offering more travel options for our customers while reinforcing our commitment to provide seamless connectivity between India and the world.

Ross Baker

Ross Baker, Heathrow’s Chief Customer Officer, said: “We are pleased to welcome IndiGo’s new daily service between Mumbai and Heathrow. As the UK’s international gateway, this new route will further strengthen the vital ties between the UK and India, creating opportunities for trade, tourism and cultural exchange. We look forward to supporting IndiGo’s international growth while offering passengers more choice when travelling between these two world-class cities.”
