IITM 2026 Begins at Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre

The India International Travel Mart (IITM) Kolkata edition opened on 27 March 2026 at the Biswa Bangla Exhibition Centre, bringing together stakeholders from across the travel and tourism industry.

Organised by Sphere Travelmedia & Exhibitions Pvt. Ltd., the three-day event runs until 29 March and serves as a platform for tourism boards, hospitality companies, travel operators and service providers to connect with industry professionals and consumers.

The inauguration was attended by representatives from tourism organizations, industry associations and partner countries, reflecting participation from both domestic and international markets.

Industry Participation and Event Highlights

This year’s edition features over 150 exhibitors representing more than 15 Indian states and 10 countries, showcasing a range of travel offerings including leisure tourism, cultural experiences, wellness travel, MICE and cruise products.

Tourism Malaysia is participating as the partner country, highlighting its tourism products and strengthening engagement with the Indian market.

The event is structured to cater to both business and consumer audiences, with dedicated hours for travel trade interactions followed by public access. Visitors can explore destinations, interact with exhibitors and access travel-related information and offers.

In addition to the exhibition, IITM Kolkata includes presentations and interactive sessions focused on travel trends, destination insights and industry developments.

The event continues to serve as a meeting point for the travel sector in eastern India, fostering business interactions and promoting tourism across regions.
