Hilton Opens Palacio de Godoy Cáceres, Curio Collection
Hilton has announced the opening of Palacio de Godoy Cáceres, Curio Collection by Hilton, following the restoration of the 16th-century Palacio de Godoy, initially built in 1563 as the residence of Spanish conquistador Francisco Godoy.
The property brings the Curio Collection brand to Cáceres for the first time. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986, Cáceres is known for its well-preserved architecture and blend of Jewish, Muslim, and Christian influences.

The hotel features 73 guest rooms, function spaces, Bar Virú, a rooftop bar with views of the old city and surrounding countryside, a spa, and the Mamay Aldana restaurant, led by Chef Antonio Manuel Céspedes Rodríguez. The restaurant highlights the culinary traditions of Extremadura, drawing on the site’s history as a former maternity home and paying homage to local heritage.
Architecture was developed by BSV Arquitectos, while the gardens, designed by Álvaro de la Rosa, integrate local and American plants, drawing inspiration from 16th- and 17th-century Lima.
Developed by SCIPION Real Estate with a €14 million investment and operated by Panoram Hotel Management, the project has created 60 jobs.
Palacio de Godoy Cáceres is part of Hilton Honors, offering members access to exclusive benefits when booking directly through Hilton channels.
