Air Arabia Launches Sharjah–London Gatwick Flights
Air Arabia Expands Network with London Gatwick Service
Air Arabia has launched a new double-daily non-stop service between Sharjah International Airport and London Gatwick Airport, further expanding its international network and strengthening air connectivity between the United Arab Emirates and the United Kingdom.
The inaugural flight departed on 4 July 2026, with launch ceremonies held at both Sharjah International Airport and London Gatwick Airport. The event in Sharjah was attended by officials from the Sharjah Airport Authority, representatives of the British Embassy in the UAE, and Air Arabia’s senior leadership.
The new route offers passengers additional travel options between the UAE and the UK while supporting tourism, trade and business links between the two countries.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, said the London Gatwick service strengthens the airline’s international network while providing passengers with greater travel choice, convenience and value.

H.E. Ali Salim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Airport Authority, said the new route forms part of the airport’s strategy to expand its international network and strengthen Sharjah’s position as a regional aviation gateway. He added that the direct connection to London will enhance travel opportunities while supporting commercial and cultural ties between the UAE and the UK.

Jonny Macneal, Head of Aviation Development at London Gatwick, welcomed Air Arabia’s arrival, noting that the twice-daily service will improve connectivity between London and the Middle East while offering travellers more destination choices.
The Sharjah–London Gatwick route is operated using Airbus A321neo LR aircraft, offering extended range and improved fuel efficiency.
Passengers can book flights through Air Arabia’s official website, customer service centre and authorised travel agents.
The launch further expands Air Arabia’s international route network while strengthening links between Sharjah and one of the United Kingdom’s busiest airports.
