The Leela Luxury Residences, Mumbai Appoints Swati Thakur as General Manager (Pre-Opening)

The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts has appointed Swati Thakur as the new General Manager (Pre-Opening) of The Leela Luxury Residences, Mumbai. In her new role, she will lead the pre-opening phase of the property, overseeing project planning, team development, and operational readiness ahead of launch.

Swati brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong background in rooms division and hotel operations.

She joins The Leela following her tenure as Hotel Manager in Jaipur. Prior to that, she was associated with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), where she held key roles including Operations Manager at Taj The Trees, Mumbai; Director of Rooms at Taj Lands End, Mumbai; and Front Office Manager.

Earlier in her career, Swati spent nearly a decade with Taj Hotels, progressing through roles such as Assistant Front Office Manager, Duty Manager, and Guest Relations Executive. She began her hospitality journey with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts as a Front Office Assistant.

In her new position, Swati will focus on establishing operational frameworks, building and mentoring teams, and ensuring a structured pre-opening process for The Leela Luxury Residences, Mumbai.

Her appointment supports the brand’s ongoing expansion in the luxury residential hospitality segment.
