Hilton Ranked Malaysia’s Best Workplace 2026 by Great Place to Work
Hilton has been ranked Malaysia’s Best Workplace 2026 by Great Place to Work, securing the top position in the large-sized business category in the inaugural edition.
The recognition adds to Hilton’s global and South East Asia workplace acknowledgements, including country-level rankings in Vietnam and Thailand. The Malaysia ranking reflects employee feedback and highlights the company’s continued focus on workplace culture and team member development.
Malaysia’s tourism sector continues to record steady growth, with the country emerging as one of the most visited destinations in South East Asia in 2025. As demand for hospitality talent increases, Hilton says it remains focused on building a sustainable talent pipeline and creating long-term career pathways within the industry.
The company is expanding its footprint in Malaysia with five new properties scheduled to open this year. Three hotels — Hilton Shah Alam Glenmarie, Hilton Burau Bay Langkawi Resort, and Hilton Garden Inn Kota Kinabalu Tuaran — are set to launch in the first quarter. Later in the year, Hilton will introduce Waldorf Astoria Kuala Lumpur and Conrad Kuala Lumpur, marking the debut of these brands in the Malaysian market.
Supporting Career Growth

Hilton points to internal mobility and structured development programmes as key elements of its workplace culture. One example is Nor Najihah Binti Che Kob, who joined the pre-opening team at DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam i-City in 2022 as a Housekeeping Coordinator after previously working in construction management.
Seeking new opportunities within hospitality, she transitioned to the Front Office team the following year. With mentorship and training, she progressed to Front Desk Team Leader in 2024 and Duty Manager in 2025. Her career path reflects Hilton’s approach to providing employees with opportunities to move across departments and take on expanded responsibilities.

Alexandra Murray, Area Vice President and Regional Head of South East Asia at Hilton, said the company remains committed to creating an environment where team members can develop their careers as the brand expands its presence in Malaysia.
Hilton supports its workforce through a range of global and regional initiatives focused on well-being, learning and inclusion. These include Thrive at Hilton, which promotes physical, mental, and financial wellness; Lead@Hilton, a leadership development platform; Care for All, which provides caregiving support; Careers@Hilton, which engages young people in hospitality careers; and Go Hilton, a travel programme for team members.
The Best Workplaces in Malaysia 2026 list is determined by Great Place To Work based on confidential employee feedback collected through its Culture Audit and Trust Index survey methodologies.
