Hilton to Open Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, First Curio Collection Hotel in Hawai‘i
Hilton has revealed plans for Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, Curio Collection by Hilton, marking the brand’s inaugural property in Hawai‘i. Scheduled to open in fall 2026, this 210-room hotel will be part of the Hōkūala Resort community on Kauaʻi island. Owned by Silverwest Hotels and managed by Hilton, the hotel will feature new construction.

Hilton has also appointed Jon Itoga as General Manager, responsible for strategy and operational planning leading up to the resort’s debut.
Located along a scenic corridor on Kauaʻi, Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi will offer views of the ocean, surrounding mountains and nearby lagoons. The hotel will be situated a short drive from Lihue Airport, providing access to destinations across the island, including Princeville, Poʻipū, Waimea Canyon and Wailua Falls.

According to Hilton, the property’s concept reflects the natural landscape and cultural heritage of Kauaʻi, often referred to as the “Garden Isle.” The hotel is designed to connect guests with the island’s environment and local traditions.
The resort is being designed by Hart Howerton in collaboration with AHL. Positioned on a bluff overlooking the ocean and Haʻupu Mountain, the architecture and interiors draw inspiration from the island’s surroundings to create a relaxed and locally influenced setting.

Facilities at the property will include a restaurant overlooking the tropical lagoon and the Ocean Course at Hōkūala, a Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course. Additional amenities will include an outdoor pool, a fitness centre and around 2,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, along with approximately 10,000 square feet of outdoor event space suitable for weddings and corporate gatherings.
Kalapaki Beach, known for its calm waters, will be within walking distance of the resort.
Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi will also be part of Hilton Honors, the company’s guest loyalty programme that connects travellers to Hilton’s portfolio of brands worldwide.
