The hotel is located on Pamban Island and is positioned to cater to demand from both pilgrimage and leisure travellers. The company continues to focus on expansion in destinations with consistent visitor inflows, particularly in the spiritual tourism segment.
According to the company, its portfolio now spans over 1,850 keys across more than 17 cities. The growth has been supported by an asset-light model and increased demand in organised hospitality across spiritual and emerging leisure destinations.
Grand Continent Hotels Limited has indicated plans to expand further into markets such as Somnath, Varanasi and Ayodhya, as part of its broader growth strategy targeting high-demand micro-markets.
The Rameshwaram property includes 48 rooms across multiple categories such as suites, premium rooms and family rooms. Facilities include a vegetarian restaurant, Flavours, which serves Jain and Satvik cuisine, along with a designated play area.
The hotel is located near key sites including Ramanathaswamy Temple, Agnitheertham and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam National Memorial, with access to the local railway station.
Ramesh Shiva, Founder & Managing Director, Grand Continent Hotels Limited, said, “The launch of our Rameshwaram property marks an important milestone as our 31st hotel and reinforces our focus on high-potential pilgrimage destinations. South India continues to be a strong growth market for us and we see sustained demand in destinations like Rameshwaram where travellers seek reliable, comfortable, and well-located accommodation.
Going forward, we are coming up at Somnath, Varanasi and Ayodhya as we aim to expand across key high-demand micro-markets as we work towards building a 3,000-key portfolio over the next few years, while continuing to focus on operational consistency and guest experience.”
