SC Capital Partners Acquires Fusion Hotel Group
Deal brings together hospitality platforms across Asia
Fusion Hotel Group, a wellness-focused hospitality brand and management company based in Ho Chi Minh City, has been acquired by Suchad Chiaranussati, Founder and Chairman of SC Capital Partners. He is also the owner of Hotel Management Japan (HMJ) and Indonesian operator Topotels Hotels & Resorts.
The acquisition marks a new phase for Fusion as it aligns with SC Capital Partners’ hospitality platform, alongside HMJ and Topotels, to expand its presence across Asia.
Expanding a regional hospitality network

Founded in 2008, Fusion Hotel Group operates 18 properties with around 3,000 keys across Vietnam and Thailand, along with a pipeline of more than 2,000 keys. The company focuses on wellness-oriented hospitality and provides services including concept development, brand creation, and hotel operations. It has also been involved in branded residences, a segment gaining traction across the Asia Pacific.
Following the acquisition, the combined portfolio of Fusion, HMJ, and Topotels will represent approximately 16,000 keys across multiple markets in Asia, supported by a team of hospitality professionals.
Strategic alignment across platforms

Suchad Chiaranussati said the investment aligns with SC Capital Partners’ long-term plans to expand its hospitality presence in Asia. He noted that Fusion’s footprint in Vietnam complements the group’s existing operations and strengthens its overall platform.
Christopher Hur, CEO of Fusion Hotel Group, said the partnership creates opportunities to grow the brand in new markets while also strengthening capabilities in technology, marketing, and talent development.
Broader hospitality investment platform

SC Capital Partners brings over two decades of experience in hospitality investment and asset management across the Asia Pacific. The firm is also the sponsor of Japan Hotel REIT Advisors (JHRA), which manages a portfolio of 78 hotels with more than 22,000 rooms across Japan.
Hotel Management Japan operates 26 properties with over 8,000 keys across 11 prefectures and manages its own brand, Oriental Hotels & Resorts, while also providing services for global hotel companies such as Hilton, Marriott, and IHG.
Topotels Hotels & Resorts adds further scale to the platform with its growing portfolio in Indonesia.
The acquisition positions Fusion within a broader regional network, supporting its continued development across key markets in Asia.
