Air India Showcases Indian Festive Cuisine Across Network
Airline rolls out regional menus onboard and in lounges
Air India has introduced a range of festive culinary offerings across its inflight services and airport lounges, reflecting India’s cultural diversity through food. The initiative includes menus inspired by occasions such as Eid, Navratri, and Gudi Padwa, available to passengers across its domestic and international network.
As part of Eid celebrations, the airline is serving Sheer Khurma on all flights departing on 20 March 2026. The dessert is being offered across all cabin classes and routes, including domestic, international, and return sectors. On flights with multiple meal services, the included service is the main meal, while the other services continue as per the regular schedule. The rollout is being implemented across catering partners, including TajSATS, Oberoi Flight Services, Casino Air Caterers and Flight Services (CAFS), and Ambassador’s Sky Chef.
Festive menus extend to airport lounges

The festive offerings are also available at select Air India lounges. At the Maharaja Lounge in New Delhi, a Navratri thali is being served, featuring items such as Sabudana Khichdi, Paneer dishes, Raita, Buttermilk, and Kheer, along with fresh fruits.
In Mumbai, the Adani Lounge marked Gudi Padwa with a selection of traditional sweets, including Shrikhand, Chocolate Peda, Orange Coconut Barfi, Mawa Modak, and Gujiya. The lounge is also offering an Eid menu on 21 March, featuring dishes such as Dal Ghost, Malai Chicken Gilafi Kebab, Kacchi Murg Biryani, Paneer Reshmi Handi, Shahi Tukda, Baklava, and Phirni, available for lunch and dinner.
Through these offerings, Air India is integrating regional flavours into the travel experience, providing passengers with a sense of familiarity and cultural connection during their journey.
