FitsAir, City of Dreams Sri Lanka and Cinnamon Hotels Launch Ahmedabad–Colombo Flights

City of Dreams Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and Walkers Tours Partner FitsAir for Ahmedabad–Colombo Flights

City of Dreams Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and Walkers Tours, has partnered with FitsAir to support direct scheduled passenger flights between Ahmedabad and Colombo. The service enhances connectivity between Gujarat and Sri Lanka while offering Indian travellers easier access to Colombo and its hospitality and leisure options.

FitsAir will operate the route between Ahmedabad and Colombo, offering regular connectivity for travellers.

The Ahmedabad–Colombo service will operate three times a week and is aimed at travellers from Gujarat, an important source market for Sri Lanka. The region has continued to see steady outbound travel, and Sri Lanka remains a preferred destination for leisure trips. The introduction of direct flights is expected to support travel between the two destinations while providing more convenient access to Colombo for Indian visitors.

City of Dreams Sri Lanka, located in Colombo, is part of a broader development that brings together hospitality, dining, retail and entertainment within one integrated complex. Visitors travelling on the new route can stay at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams or choose from other Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts properties in the city, including Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo and Cinnamon Red Colombo.

The launch of the direct flights also includes Cinnamon holiday packages designed for Indian travellers. These packages combine stays in Colombo with travel experiences across Sri Lanka, including visits to destinations such as Kandy and coastal resort locations operated by Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts. The packages are structured to offer travellers a convenient way to explore multiple parts of the island.

Kamal Munasinghe, Senior Vice President – Colombo Hotels at Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts and General Manager of Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, said India remains an important market for the group, with Gujarat showing growing interest in Colombo as a travel destination. He added that the new flights provide travellers with easier access to the City of Dreams Sri Lanka development and other Cinnamon travel experiences across the island.

Ammar Kassim, Director of FitsAir, said Ahmedabad is an important commercial centre in India and a destination the airline had been planning to include in its network. He noted that the overnight departure from Colombo allows passengers to arrive early in Ahmedabad and enables connections through Colombo to other international destinations served by the airline.

Flights between Ahmedabad and Colombo are currently operating three times a week. Bookings are available through curated Cinnamon travel packages starting from INR 55,555, which include return airfare, two nights’ accommodation with breakfast at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams and private airport transfers.
