Frequent Flyer Partnership Expands Rewards Across Asia

Etihad Guest has launched a new frequent flyer partnership with Bangkok Airways FlyerBonus, allowing members of both programmes to redeem travel rewards across the airlines’ combined networks.

The partnership enables Etihad Guest members to redeem Miles on Bangkok Airways flights to destinations across Thailand and Southeast Asia, including Samui, Luang Prabang and Siem Reap.

At the same time, Bangkok Airways FlyerBonus members can use their points across Etihad Airways’ expanding international network through Abu Dhabi, including destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Krakow and Salalah.

Etihad Guest Miles can also be redeemed for flights, upgrades, hotels, holidays and purchases through the Etihad Guest Reward Shop.

Amornrat Kongsawat, Vice President – Sales and Marketing at Bangkok Airways, said the collaboration strengthens travel opportunities for FlyerBonus members through Etihad Airways’ global connectivity.

The partnership comes as Etihad Airways continues expanding across Southeast Asia, with recent additions including Krabi, Chiang Mai, Phnom Penh, Hanoi and Hong Kong.

Etihad currently operates direct services from Abu Dhabi to Bangkok, Phuket, Krabi and Chiang Mai, with Bangkok remaining one of the airline’s busiest destinations.

The airline is also scheduled to introduce Airbus A380 operations on selected Bangkok services from October to support growing passenger demand during the winter travel season.

The new Frequent Flyer agreement reflects Etihad Guest’s broader strategy to expand loyalty partnerships and offer additional travel benefits across international markets.
