Etihad Airways Appoints Antonio Panariello as Head of Europe and UK

Etihad Airways has appointed Antonio Panariello as Head of Europe and UK, strengthening its leadership across key international markets.

In his new role, Panariello will be responsible for overseeing the airline’s commercial strategy, regional performance, and market development across Europe and the United Kingdom.

Prior to this appointment, he served as General Manager – Central Europe at Etihad. Over the years, he has held multiple leadership roles within the organisation, including Country Manager positions covering Switzerland, Scandinavia, and the Baltic States.

Before joining Etihad, Panariello spent over 13 years with Qatar Airways, where he held several commercial and regional leadership roles. His responsibilities included managing market performance, overseeing country operations, and driving commercial strategy across Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.

Panariello’s experience spans business performance management, regional market development, and commercial operations within the aviation sector.

He holds a Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University and a BA (Hons.) in International Business with French from the University of Northampton.

The appointment reflects Etihad’s focus on strengthening its leadership structure across Europe and the UK.
