Dusit International Partners with SYDEL to Launch Hotel Venture in France
Dusit International has entered into a strategic joint venture with SYDEL, a French real estate investment firm, to establish Dusit France. The partnership aims to introduce Dusit’s Thai-inspired hospitality to the French market through selected hotel developments in key locations.

Leveraging SYDEL’s local expertise and Dusit’s global hospitality experience, the joint venture will explore opportunities to develop properties under Dusit’s diverse portfolio of nine hotel brands. These range from lifestyle midscale hotels to luxury wellness retreats.
Brands under consideration for the French market include:
Dusit Thani (Bespoke Luxury)
Devarana – Dusit Retreats (Wellness Luxury)
Dusit Collection (Character Luxury)
Dusit Hotels (Upper Upscale)
dusitD2 (Lifestyle Upscale)
Dusit Princess (Upper Midscale)
ASAI Hotels (Lifestyle Midscale)
Dusit Suites (Lifestyle Long Stay)
The partnership will focus on identifying development sites, supporting asset repositioning, and introducing concepts that prioritize guest experience, wellness, and long-term value creation.
The agreement was formalized at a signing ceremony held on 10 July 2025 in Paris. During the event, Mr. Gilles Cretallaz, Chief Operating Officer of Dusit International, outlined the company’s plans for expansion in France.
“We are pleased to partner with SYDEL to explore opportunities in one of Europe’s most well-established tourism markets,” said Mr. Cretallaz.
“France presents strong potential for Dusit’s approach to hospitality, and this collaboration supports our broader international growth strategy.”
Dusit currently manages 294 properties in 18 countries, including 55 hotels and resorts under its own brands and 239 luxury villas under the Elite Havens brand. In Europe, Dusit already operates Dusit Suites Athens in Greece, located in the Glyfada district along the Athenian Riviera.
This new venture represents a step forward in Dusit’s efforts to expand its presence across Europe, aligning with growing global interest in culturally grounded and wellness-driven hospitality experiences.
