Dubai Airports Hajj 2026 Plan Focuses on Passenger Support and Smooth Travel

Dubai Airports Gears Up for Hajj Peak, Set to Handle 3,600 Pilgrims This  Season

Dubai Airports has announced preparations to welcome more than 3,600 pilgrims during the Hajj 2026 travel period, with nearly 59% of all UAE pilgrims expected to travel through its airport terminals.

Hajj departure flights will continue to operate until 23 May via services provided by Emirates, Saudia, flydubai and flynas.

Operational Plan Developed with Multiple Agencies

Dubai Airports stated that a coordinated operational readiness plan has been developed to support safe and efficient passenger movement during the Hajj travel period.

The airport operator worked alongside several government and aviation partners, including:

  • Dubai Police
  • General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai
  • Dubai Customs
  • Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services
  • dnata
  • Dubai Duty Free
  • Dubai Civil Aviation Authority
  • Roads and Transport Authority
  • Dubai Health Authority

Dedicated Services Arranged for Pilgrims

Dubai Airports prepares to welcome Hajj pilgrims to smooth experience at DXB

Preparations for pilgrims include dedicated check-in counters and specially assigned departure and arrival gates designed to reduce walking distances within the airport.

Pilgrims will also receive complimentary gift packs and access to multilingual Guest Experience Ambassadors and support desks.

Additional facilities include prayer rooms and Ihram changing areas to assist passengers preparing for their journey.

Extra Support for Elderly and Assisted Travellers

Dubai Airports prepares to welcome Hajj pilgrims

Dubai Airports said elderly passengers and travellers requiring additional assistance will benefit from expanded wheelchair services, on-site health checks and ground support teams positioned throughout the airport.

Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services has also increased its airport presence to provide medical support during travel.

Pilgrims Advised to Arrive Early

Airport officials advised pilgrims to arrive at least four hours before departure and ensure they carry all required travel documents.

Passengers are also reminded to bring Hajj permits and vaccination certificates, and to follow the documentation guidance issued by the relevant authorities.

Return Arrangements Planned for Pilgrims

Returning pilgrims are expected to arrive between 30 May and 2 June.

Dubai Airports said dedicated arrival procedures will be implemented during the return period, including separate baggage belts for Zamzam water handling.
