Delta Air Lines Hosts Seahawks Fans Gate Celebration at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport
Delta Air Lines hosted a game weekend kickoff with a gate-side celebration for Seattle Seahawks fans at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Friday morning. The event took place at the departure gate for Flight DL1412, one of five daily Delta flights from Seattle to the Bay Area scheduled before the game. The gate was decorated in Seahawks colours, and travelling fans enjoyed giveaways, music, and activities before boarding.
The activation included surprise appearances by Seahawks alumnus Sean Locklear, along with co-branded fan merchandise available exclusively to travellers at the gate. Throughout the morning, customers participated in photo opportunities and fan engagement activities, while Delta team members joined in, distributing gifts and welcoming passengers as they prepared to travel.
Behind the scenes, Delta employees also played a role in supporting the increased travel demand. George Benavente, a member of Delta’s Technical Operations team in Seattle and a Seahawks supporter, shared his perspective on the occasion. As a season ticket holder, he said it was meaningful to see the team reach this stage and to support the Seahawks’ friends-and-family charter, ensuring safe and reliable travel to the game.
Benavente noted that preparation for the busy travel period followed standard operational procedures, with safety remaining the primary focus. He added that providing reliable, on-time service for fans travelling to support the team was part of the effort.
As the official airline partner of the Seattle Seahawks, Delta extended its best wishes to the team and to fans travelling for the game, while continuing its focus on safe and smooth operations throughout the weekend.
