Botanix Resorts Launches Shivalaya Resort in Kumaon Hills, Nainital

Botanix Resorts Pvt Ltd has announced the opening of Shivalaya Resort by Botanix in Ghorakhal, Bhowali, Nainital. Spread across 1.2 acres in the Kumaon hills, the boutique resort is designed for leisure travellers, wellness seekers, and corporate groups.

The resort offers 25 rooms across categories, including Deluxe, Executive, Premium Rooms, Luxury Suites, Deodar Suites, and Deodar Family Suites. Dining options include Panache, a multi-cuisine restaurant with indoor seating for 50 guests, and 8 Alfresco, featuring local Kumaoni flavours alongside global cuisines.

Set against the Himalayas, the resort combines modern amenities with experiences such as an aviary of birds, an observation deck offering valley views, indoor games, outdoor seating areas, and opportunities to engage with Kumaoni folk performances and village life.

Additional facilities include a landscaped lawn, a mini banquet and conference hall, a gym, a heated covered swimming pool, and a multi-sport court.

Located near the Ghorakhal Golu Devta Temple, Neem Karoli Baba’s Kainchi Dham, and Kasar Devi Temple, the resort also provides access to scenic spots like Gagar Snow Viewpoint, Shyamkhet Tea Gardens, and the lakes of Nainital, Bhimtal, Saat Tal, and Naukuchiatal.

As part of its growth plans, Shivalaya Resort will expand by 2026 with 20 more rooms, a larger banquet hall, and a party lawn, making it suitable for weddings, retreats, and group events.
