Japan Expansion Continues for ANA Holiday Inn
Japan continues to see expansion in its hospitality sector, with IHG Hotels & Resorts announcing the opening of two new ANA Holiday Inn properties, ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda and ANA Holiday Inn Tosu.
The two hotels, operated by Select Hotels Group, opened on 27 and 28 April 2026, respectively, expanding the ANA Holiday Inn portfolio nationwide.
Located in the hillside city of Sanda between Kobe and Osaka, ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda offers 130 guestrooms, including traditional Japanese-style accommodation with tatami flooring. The hotel is situated close to Woody Town Chuo Station and provides access to attractions such as Kobe Sanda Premium Outlet and the Hiratanigawa Greenway.
The property also features Holiday Inn’s open lobby concept, designed as a flexible space for dining, work and relaxation.
Eiji Baba, General Manager of ANA Holiday Inn Kobe Sanda, said the hotel aims to provide travellers with a comfortable stay experience connected to the local surroundings and community.
Meanwhile, ANA Holiday Inn Tosu has opened in Tosu City, Kyushu, offering 127 guestrooms and suites designed for both business and leisure travellers.
Located near JR Tosu Station and connected to major expressways across Kyushu, the hotel provides access to destinations throughout the island, as well as local attractions such as Tosu Premium Outlet and the historic Nagasaki Kaido route.
Hiroyuki Eguchi, General Manager of ANA Holiday Inn Tosu, said the hotel aims to serve as a convenient base for travellers visiting Kyushu.
Both hotels feature Apple Road, the brand’s signature dining venue offering local and international cuisine, along with meeting and event facilities for up to 250 guests.
The properties also participate in the Holiday Inn Kids Stay & Eat Free programme for families travelling with children aged 12 and under.
The openings follow the recent expansion of the ANA Holiday Inn brand in destinations such as Sapporo and Karuizawa, as IHG continues to grow its presence across Japan.
