Shin Chan Makes India Debut with Special ANA–TV Asahi Promotion

For the first time, Shin Chan will be released in Indian theaters with an adventure-themed movie centered around India. The movie, titled “Shin Chan: The Spicy Kasukabe Dancers in India,” is directed by Masakazu Hashimoto and produced by Shin-Ei Animation, TV Asahi, ADK Emotions, and Futabasha. In this film, Shin Chan and his friends embark on a journey in India.

Mr. Shigeru Ishimoto, General Manager – Mumbai, ANA, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with TV Asahi in promoting Shin Chan. This is more than a movie release — it represents a cultural bridge between India and Japan through art, humour, and shared experiences.”

Ms. Maiko Sumida, Head of Animation Sales & Development – Tokyo, TV Asahi, said: “We are happy to partner with ANA, a key Japanese airline on the India–Japan route, to bring Shin Chan to India and share Japanese entertainment with Indian audiences.”

ANA’s joint promotion activities began with Cos Con at Shillong on August 30, 2025. The event received a positive response from Shin Chan fans.

TV Asahi announces "2025 Shin chan India Year" -

On September 5, 2025, ANA launched its Hello Blue Sale featuring Shin Chan characters. This campaign will run from September through November 2025. On September 20, 2025, a movie premiere was held for an invited audience at a local suburban multiplex. On the same day, ANA set up an on-ground booth with various activities, including a Gara Gara Pon (lucky draw) for prizes related to ANA and Shin Chan. Beginning September 26, ANA’s logo appeared on the movie screen alongside those of other promotional partners.

ANA All Nippon Airways awarded 5-Star Rating for seventh consecutive year -  Skytrax

An online campaign is running from September 20 to October 16, 2025, at select PVR cinemas. Fans can scan and subscribe for a chance to win two round-trip tickets to Japan. All other subscribers receive a 15% discount, subject to terms and conditions. ANA and TV Asahi also launched a joint social media campaign on Facebook from September 26, 2025, for a limited time.
