Air Astana Finalizes Order for Up to 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliner Aircraft
Boeing and Air Astana have announced that the Kazakhstan-based airline has finalized an order for up to 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliner jets as part of its plans to expand and modernise its widebody fleet.
The agreement covers an additional 787-9 aircraft and follows a commitment first announced in November 2025. The new order represents Air Astana’s largest single aircraft purchase to date and supports the airline’s long-term network and fleet strategy.
In addition to the direct order, Air Astana is scheduled to receive three more 787-9 aircraft through leasing arrangements. Once delivered, the airline’s Dreamliner fleet is expected to grow to up to 18 Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

The expanded fleet will support Air Astana’s long-haul operations, enabling the carrier to increase capacity on international routes while continuing its fleet renewal programme.
