The Forum Hotel & Convention Expands Operations Leadership Across Two Properties
The Forum Hotel & Convention and Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela have expanded Vikas Khazanchi’s leadership responsibilities, who will now serve as Vice President – Operations for both properties.
Having been associated with the group for the past eight years, Khazanchi will oversee operations across the two hotels, supporting operational performance, guest satisfaction and long-term business objectives.
With more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Khazanchi brings expertise in hotel operations, commercial strategy, revenue management, market development, organisational leadership and business performance.
Throughout his career, he has led hospitality properties across Gujarat, focusing on operational efficiency, commercial growth and consistent guest service standards. His leadership approach centres on continuous improvement, team development, responsible business practices, and the creation of value for guests, employees, and stakeholders.
In his expanded role, Khazanchi will lead strategic initiatives across both The Forum Hotel & Convention and Wyndham Ahmedabad Shela. His responsibilities include enhancing operational efficiency, strengthening guest experiences, supporting revenue performance, developing talent and maintaining service standards across the portfolio.
Together, the two properties offer 387 guest rooms and cater to both business and leisure travellers. The hotels also serve as venues for corporate meetings, conventions, destination weddings and social events in Ahmedabad.

Commenting on the appointment, Kalpesh Prajapati, Managing Director of The Forum Hotel & Convention, said that Khazanchi has played an important role in the group’s development over the years. He added that the expanded position reflects confidence in his leadership capabilities and industry experience as both properties continue to evolve.
Speaking about his new responsibilities, Khazanchi said his focus will remain on strengthening operational processes, supporting teams and maintaining service consistency across both hotels. He added that organisational culture plays a key role in shaping guest experiences and will remain a priority.
Khazanchi is a Hotel Management graduate and also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Hospitality from IGNOU, complementing his extensive experience in the sector.
