Jetex iGA Terminal Launch Strengthens Istanbul’s Global Aviation Position

Jetex and iGA Istanbul Airport have officially opened the Jetex iGA Terminal in Istanbul, marking a major development in Türkiye’s aviation and business travel sector.

The new terminal is designed to serve both private jet travellers and commercial airline passengers. The project combines Jetex’s international private aviation network with iGA Istanbul Airport’s operational capabilities.

The launch also reflects broader efforts to strengthen Istanbul’s position within global aviation and improve premium travel infrastructure in the region.

Aviation Leaders and Government Officials Attended the Opening

The opening ceremony was attended by several aviation and government representatives including Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Cemal Kalyoncu, Selahattin Bilgen and Adel Mardini.

Industry representatives and members of the media also attended the event in Istanbul.

Terminal Supports Business and Leisure Travel

The facility has been developed to support both commercial airline passengers and private aviation clients through reservation-based services.

According to the companies, the terminal is intended to improve travel convenience while supporting tourism, business mobility and international connectivity.

The project also highlights ongoing investment in Türkiye’s aviation sector and its role as a regional transport hub connecting Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Istanbul Continues Expanding Aviation Infrastructure

During the opening event, Cemal Kalyoncu said iGA Istanbul Airport currently serves more than 140 countries and over 340 destinations worldwide.

He also noted that the airport is continuing expansion efforts including the planned opening of a fourth runway later this year and additional hotel developments.

Airport officials stated that passenger capacity at the airport is expected to increase to 120 million as infrastructure projects continue.

The new terminal forms part of wider plans to position Istanbul as an important centre for private aviation and international transit travel.

Jetex Expands Its Global Network

Adel Mardini said Istanbul’s cultural and geographic importance made it a suitable location for Jetex’s latest expansion.

The company explained that the terminal was developed to provide personalised services for both commercial and private travellers while maintaining high operational standards.

Jetex currently operates a network of 40 private terminals across international destinations including Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Abu Dhabi, Marrakech and Singapore.

The Istanbul terminal becomes the latest addition to the company’s international operations.

Architecture Inspired by Istanbul

The terminal’s design draws inspiration from Istanbul’s nazende çiçeği, also known as the slender flower.

The interior includes natural stone, wood finishes and custom-designed surfaces aimed at creating a comfortable travel environment.

Developers stated that the facility was designed to function beyond a traditional airport terminal by offering a private club-style atmosphere for travellers.

Terminal Includes Private Suites and Concierge Services

The facility includes private suites equipped with relaxation areas, dining spaces, en-suite bathrooms and dedicated service support.

Travellers also have access to luxury lounges and concierge services designed to assist throughout different stages of their journey.

The terminal additionally offers dedicated passport and security checkpoints intended to speed up formalities for passengers using the facility.

Private Aviation Continues to Grow

The opening of the Jetex iGA Terminal reflects growing demand for premium and private aviation services globally.

Airports and aviation companies are increasingly investing in specialised infrastructure to support business travellers, high-net-worth passengers and international transit operations.

The project also highlights the role of Istanbul as a major aviation hub connecting multiple international markets through commercial and private travel services.

Jetex Founder and CEO, Adel Mardini, expressed his enthusiasm for the new terminal: “We are thrilled to expand our global network with the launch of Jetex Istanbul alongside our valued partner iGA. Istanbul is a multicultural hub where thousands of years of history and culture blend with youthful, dynamic energy. We have put tremendous effort into crafting a state-of-the-art experience for both private jet and commercial airline travelers, and we look forward to welcoming the world here with award-winning Jetex hospitality.”
