Dusit Princess Rishikesh Strengthens Dusit International’s India Expansion
Dusit International has signed a hotel management agreement with Atmosphere to introduce the Dusit Princess brand in the Tehri Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. The project, named Dusit Princess Rishikesh, is scheduled to open in 2031 and will form part of a mixed-use hospitality and lifestyle development near Rishikesh.
The agreement marks another step in Dusit International’s expansion strategy in India and follows the opening of dusitD2 Fagu, Shimla in December 2024.
Located in the Himalayan foothills near Rishikesh, the development has been designed to combine hospitality, wellness and leisure experiences while drawing inspiration from the surrounding natural environment. Rishikesh continues to attract domestic and international visitors seeking wellness retreats, spiritual experiences and outdoor activities.
Dusit Princess Rishikesh will feature 300 keys, including hotel rooms and luxury duplex villas, catering to both leisure and business travellers. The property will include a range of guest facilities such as a lobby lounge, business centre, all-day dining restaurant, outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, yoga room and flexible event spaces.
The development will also include a dedicated clubhouse offering wellness and recreational amenities. Planned facilities include a spa, infinity pool, restaurant with approximately 250 covers, squash court, mini-plex, bowling alley and indoor gaming areas.
Dining experiences at the property will be complemented by views of the Himalayan foothills, while the overall design aims to blend modern hospitality with the area’s natural setting.

Commenting on the signing, Siradej Donavanik, Vice President – Development (Global), Dusit International, said India remains an important market for the company, offering opportunities across both major cities and emerging leisure destinations.
He noted that Rishikesh’s combination of wellness tourism, spirituality and natural surroundings aligns with the group’s focus on destinations that support experience-led travel and long-term growth.

He added that Dusit International’s hospitality expertise and wellness-focused approach make it a suitable partner for developing the project in Uttarakhand.
With construction planned over the coming years, Dusit Princess Rishikesh is expected to add new accommodation and lifestyle offerings to one of North India’s key tourism destinations while further expanding Dusit International’s presence in the country.
