Marriott International has announced plans to expand its luxury hospitality presence in Lima through two hotel brand conversions scheduled for 2028. The developments will bring The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott to new locations within the Peruvian capital.

As part of the transition, the current JW Marriott Hotel Lima in Miraflores will be converted into The Ritz-Carlton, Lima, while the former The Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Centre in San Isidro will reopen as JW Marriott Hotel Lima at Paseo Begonias.

The projects mark Marriott International’s continued investment in Peru’s hospitality sector and reflect Lima’s growing role as a cultural, culinary and business destination in South America.

The Ritz-Carlton, Lima is expected to become the brand’s second property in South America. The hotel will join The Ritz-Carlton portfolio across destinations in Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile and the Caribbean, offering destination-led hospitality experiences and refined design.

Walter Regidor, Regional Vice President for Central and South America at Marriott International, said the conversions represent an important development for hospitality in Lima and reinforce the city’s position as an emerging urban travel destination.

The repositioned JW Marriott Hotel Lima at Paseo Begonias will focus on business and convention travellers while introducing the brand’s approach to wellness, service and contemporary hospitality. The development is also expected to strengthen Paseo Begonias as a mixed-use district integrating offices, retail and hospitality.

The conversions further expand Marriott International’s luxury footprint in Peru, which already includes properties such as Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa; JW Marriott El Convento Cusco; Palacio del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel; and Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort.
