Holiday Inn Mandi to Open in Himachal Pradesh
Holiday Inn Mandi Expands IHG’s Presence in North India
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Mac View Infrabiz Private Limited for the development of Holiday Inn Mandi, a 100-key hotel that will expand the company’s presence in Himachal Pradesh and support its growth strategy across North India.
Located on the Chandigarh–Manali corridor, the hotel is positioned to serve a mix of business, leisure and transit travellers. The location provides convenient access between the National Capital Region and some of Himachal Pradesh’s key tourism destinations, while also benefiting from Mandi’s role as an administrative and commercial centre.
Holiday Inn Mandi will feature 100 guestrooms and suites, three food-and-beverage outlets, and event facilities, including a ballroom designed to host meetings, conferences, and social gatherings.
Holiday Inn remains one of IHG’s established hotel brands, serving a broad range of travellers across business and leisure segments. In India, the brand currently operates 17 hotels and has 34 additional properties in the development pipeline.
Commenting on the signing, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the company continues to identify opportunities in emerging destinations supported by infrastructure development and growing travel demand.
He noted that the addition of Holiday Inn Mandi will further strengthen IHG’s presence in Himachal Pradesh while bringing an internationally recognised hospitality brand to an important transit and commercial market.
Holiday Inn Mandi to Support Regional Hospitality Growth
Amit Bajaj, Director of Mac View Infrabiz Private Limited, said the partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts reflects growing demand for branded accommodation in Mandi.
He added that the city’s position as a commercial, administrative and transit hub creates opportunities for quality hospitality infrastructure, supported by increasing visitor movement through the region.
The project is expected to serve travellers visiting Himachal Pradesh for business, tourism, and leisure, while contributing to the area’s hospitality landscape.
IHG currently operates 52 hotels across seven brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Vignette Collection, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express.
The company also has a development pipeline of 98 hotels expected to open across the country over the next three to five years, reflecting continued investment in India’s hospitality sector.
With its strategic location and planned facilities, Holiday Inn Mandi is set to add new accommodation capacity to Himachal Pradesh while supporting IHG’s broader expansion plans in India.
