Delta Air Lines has announced the appointment of Amala Duggirala as the new Chief Digital & Technology Officer, effective January 12, 2026.

Delta Air Lines has appointed Amala Duggirala as Chief Digital & Technology Officer, following the retirement of Rahul Samant, E.V.P. and Chief Information Officer, after 10 years of service.
In this newly expanded role, Amala Duggirala will lead all technical and digital functions. She will be reporting directly to CEO Ed Bastian and serving on the Delta Leadership Committee.
Amala joins Delta following her tenure as Executive Vice President and CIO at USAA, where she oversaw enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. She has held senior technology leadership roles at renowned organisations, including Regions Bank and ACI Worldwide,
Amala holds expertise in strategic modernization, cloud adoption, and customer-centric innovation.
At Delta, Amala will oversee enterprise technology infrastructure and digital product development. She will also lead efforts to integrate digital tools across the customer and employee experience.
