Zo Trips by Zostel Launches Formula 1 Travel Packages
Focus on Experience-Led Group Travel for Indian Audiences
Zo Trips, the curated group travel arm of Zostel, has introduced Formula 1 race weekend travel packages for the 2026 season, marking its entry into experience-led sports travel for Indian travellers.
The offering is designed as a community-led format, moving beyond standard itinerary-based travel to group experiences centred around global sporting events.
Early Demand and Travel Plans
The first group departure for 2026 has already been filled, with more than 1,500 enquiries received across multiple races on the Formula 1 calendar. The response reflects changing travel preferences, with more travellers choosing trips built around shared interests such as sport and live events.
The first confirmed trip is planned for the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka, with additional departures for Singapore and Azerbaijan. Registrations for the 2027 Australian Grand Prix are open, while further race destinations, including those in the Americas, are being evaluated.
Experience-Led Travel Format

The packages combine race access with accommodation, transfers and on-ground coordination within a group travel format. The focus is on providing access to race weekends across practice sessions, qualifying and race day, along with a structured travel experience.
According to Aviral Gupta, travel is increasingly being shaped by events and shared experiences rather than destinations alone. He noted that global sporting events such as Formula 1 bring together elements of sport, culture and community, influencing how travellers plan their journeys.
Changing Outbound Travel Trends

The launch aligns with broader trends in outbound travel, particularly among younger Indian travellers who are opting for event-led and immersive experiences over conventional sightseeing.
With this expansion, Zo Trips extends Zostel’s community-based approach beyond accommodation, positioning itself within the growing experience-focused travel segment.
