The Postcard Opens Riverside Retreat on the Mandovi in North Goa
The Postcard Hotel has announced the opening of The Postcard on the Mandovi River, a new retreat located along the banks of the Mandovi River in North Goa. The property continues the brand’s focus on slow, experience-led travel, offering a stay designed around understated luxury, intuitive service, and a close connection to the surrounding landscape.

Set in a quiet riverside location, the hotel is designed as a retreat for guests to unwind and explore Goa beyond its beaches. The design emphasizes natural light, open spaces, and views of the river, creating a calm setting that blends seamlessly with the region’s environment and cultural context. According to the brand, the intent is to allow guests to experience North Goa at an unhurried pace while remaining connected to its history and everyday life.
The hotel features 18 rooms, each designed with large windows and private balconies overlooking the river. The layout and scale of the property aim to prioritise privacy and a sense of space, with the Mandovi forming a constant visual and sensory presence throughout the stay. A private jetty provides guests with direct access to the river, supporting activities and exploration from the water.
Wellness at the property is shaped by the tranquil setting, complemented by a discreet spa offering a selection of treatments such as facials and body scrubs. These experiences are intended to align with the hotel’s broader focus on rest, balance and mindful travel.
Dining at The Postcard on the Mandovi River centres on local produce and regional flavours, with menus that draw from Goan culinary traditions as well as broader influences. Meals can be enjoyed at the garden-facing restaurant, while the rooftop bar offers views across the river, serving handcrafted cocktails in a relaxed setting.

Beyond the hotel, guests are encouraged to explore the surrounding region through curated experiences, including walks along the river, guided visits to Old Goa, trips to Divar Island and Panjim, and excursions to nearby cultural and natural sites such as the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary and UNESCO-listed monuments. These activities are designed to provide insight into local life, heritage and ecology.
With the opening of The Postcard on the Mandovi River, the brand adds another destination-led property to its growing portfolio, reinforcing its approach to experiential hospitality rooted in place, pace and personalised service.

Kapil Chopra, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, The Postcard Hotel, says, “We invite guests to rediscover the destination like never before at The Postcard on the Mandovi River. Enhancing the sense of exclusivity, a private jetty offers all guests seamless access to the river.
