APPOINTMENT
Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall has appointed Peter D’Souza as Associate Director – People & Culture.
In his new role, D’Souza will be responsible for strengthening people practices at the hotel, with a focus on employee engagement, inclusive workplace culture, and long-term organisational development.
D’Souza brings over 11 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with hands-on exposure across multiple people management and HR functions. He began his career as a Talent & Culture Executive at ibis Bengaluru City Centre and subsequently worked with ibis hotels in Chennai and Coimbatore. During this phase of his career, he gained practical experience in people operations within hotel environments, developing a broad understanding of workforce management in the hospitality sector.
He later returned to ibis Bengaluru, where he further built his leadership capabilities and contributed to people and culture initiatives aligned with operational requirements. His professional journey reflects consistent involvement in team engagement, talent management, and fostering transparent workplace practices.
At Grand Mercure Bengaluru at Gopalan Mall, D’Souza will work closely with the leadership team to support employee experience initiatives, reinforce brand values, and implement people practices aimed at supporting both employees and business objectives. His approach emphasises open communication, accessibility, and creating an environment where teams feel supported in their professional growth.
