TAT Hosts Travel Tech Startup Networking Event to Advance Tourism Innovation

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) organized the event “TAT Travel Tech Startup Networking: Together for Future Travel.” This event aimed to connect travel technology startups with tourism operators, investors, and policymakers. This initiative supports Thailand’s strategy to enhance tourism through innovation and international collaboration.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, said “Tourism is entering a new chapter where innovation defines success. By bringing together startups, traditional businesses, and public sector partners, Thailand is shaping a tourism ecosystem that is resilient, forward-looking, and aligned with international sustainability standards. This collaboration enhances visitor experiences while strengthening Thailand’s standing as a global leader in quality tourism.”

Held on 29 August 2025, the programme featured “TAT Vibe Talk – Reboot Tourism with Innovation,” with keynote contributions from experts in innovation, aviation, investment promotion, and big data.

Speakers included:

  • Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director, National Innovation Agency

  • Mr. Akkarawit Taphasit, Executive Director, Tourism Investment Promotion Department, TAT

  • Dr. Anchalisa Taetrakul, Acting Director, Travel Link Special Project, Big Data Institute (Public Organisation)

  • Mr. Surawut Sristhita, Manager, Ancillary and Partnership, Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X

  • Mr. Tadsawit Intasuwan, COO, Golfdigg Co., Ltd.

  • Mr. Anan Prasertrungreung, CEO and Co-Founder, AIRPORTELs

The event also featured a networking session, during which entrepreneurs and tourism businesses exchanged ideas and explored potential collaborations. More than 100 participants, including startups, government agencies, online platforms, and media, attended.

Now in its third year, the TAT Travel Tech Startup programme continues to offer opportunities for entrepreneurs developing digital solutions for the tourism industry. Previous participants have gained visibility and business opportunities through TAT’s international trade events and campaigns. This latest edition contributes to building an innovation ecosystem to support the future of Thai tourism.
