SpiceJet Expands Winter Operations with Five Additional Aircraft
SpiceJet has expanded its winter schedule with the induction of five additional aircraft on a damp-lease, bringing its recent fleet additions to 10. The update includes the return of a Boeing 737 MAX to service, along with three Boeing 737s and an Airbus A340 added earlier.
All five newly inducted aircraft have begun commercial operations, increasing capacity across domestic and international routes in response to rising travel demand.
By the end of the month, the airline plans to more than double its operational fleet and triple its available seat kilometres (ASKM), supporting its focus on broader connectivity, network growth, and increased travel options for customers.
Debojo Maharshi, Chief Business Officer at SpiceJet, said, “These inductions represent another step in our fleet and network expansion strategy. The response to our new flights has been encouraging, and we will continue to strengthen our operations across domestic and international markets. This expansion will more than double our operational fleet and triple our ASKM by the end of November, supporting consistent travel experiences across India and beyond.”
