Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas Recognized as Best Hotel in the Indian Ocean at 2025 ULTRAs

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas, located in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and operated by Minor Hotels, has been named Best Hotel in the Indian Ocean at the 2025 Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards (ULTRAs), held in Dubai on 17 November 2025.

Organized by Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), the ULTRAs highlight leading names in global travel each year. GHA, which manages the GHA DISCOVERY loyalty programme, includes Minor Hotels as a member through the unified Minor DISCOVERY platform.

The event took place at Nikki Beach Dubai and recognized travel industry achievers across 17 categories, with winners selected by votes from more than 32 million GHA DISCOVERY members worldwide.

The awards ceremony was hosted by radio presenter Tom Urquhart and content creator Lily Coleman. Several well-known sports personalities attended, including former rugby union internationals Simon Shaw MBE, Bryan Habana, Schalk Brits, and Akihito Yamada.

GHA CEO Chris Hartley noted that the ULTRAs reflect the views of GHA DISCOVERY members and acknowledged the strong participation recorded this year.
