APPOINTMENT
Dominus Hospitality has announced the appointment of William Hunter as General Manager for The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton.
Hunter brings over 15 years of experience within Hilton’s London portfolio, beginning his career through the Hilton Graduate Management Programme. Over the years, he has held leadership roles across several prominent Hilton properties, including Food & Beverage and Front Office responsibilities at The Trafalgar St. James London and DoubleTree by Hilton London Docklands Riverside.
He later moved into senior management roles at The Westminster London, where he most recently served as Hotel Manager. Across these positions, Hunter contributed to operational development, team leadership and the execution of major refurbishments. His experience also includes supporting brand transitions, notably the rebranding of both The Westminster London and The Trafalgar St. James London into the Curio Collection by Hilton.
In his new role, Hunter will lead the opening of The Derby London City, which will become the 10th Curio Collection by Hilton property in the UK. He will oversee pre-opening preparations, operational strategy, and team building for the new hotel.
The Derby joins a growing portfolio of hotels owned by Dominus and operated under Dominus Hospitality, aligned with leading global brands such as Hilton and Marriott. Dominus currently has over 1,700 keys in its London development pipeline, with plans to expand further in collaboration with investment partners.
A key focus for Hunter is assembling the hotel’s leadership team. The first major appointment is Edward Field as Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, who brings extensive Hilton experience across London and Europe. Recruitment is also underway for roles such as Operations Manager and Head Chef to support the launch of Rycrofte’s Restaurant, Coffeehouse and Bar, which will serve British classics with a modern twist.
