Spice Route Restaurant & Catering Appoints Amit Prakash to Operations Role

Spice Route Restaurant & Catering has appointed Amit Prakash as Business Operations Specialist, strengthening the company’s leadership team as it continues to expand its restaurant and catering operations in New Jersey.

Amit Prakash brings close to 18 years of hospitality and restaurant management experience across India, Canada and New Zealand. His background includes operations management, culinary leadership, guest services, staff development and food quality systems.

Before joining Spice Route Restaurant & Catering, Amit served as Restaurant Manager at Khazana Indian Restaurant, where he was involved in operational planning, service management and customer experience initiatives.

Over the course of his career, he has worked with hospitality and restaurant brands including Punjab Grill Restaurant, WE Restaurant & Bar, Columbus Coffee, Café Espressoholic, Chandnee Contemporary Indian Cuisine Restaurant and The Oberoi Group.

During his time at Punjab Grill Restaurant as Senior Sous Chef, Amit worked on North Indian and fusion cuisine concepts while managing kitchen operations and supervising large culinary teams. He was also responsible for maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.

At WE Restaurant & Bar, he served as Executive Chef and oversaw menu planning and kitchen operations across Indian, Chinese, Japanese, and Middle Eastern cuisines.

Amit also gained international operational experience in New Zealand while working with Columbus Coffee as Head Chef and Café Manager, where his responsibilities included staff training, inventory systems and operational procedures.

In his new role at Spice Route Restaurant & Catering, Amit Prakash will oversee business operations, process management, vendor coordination, service standards, staff supervision and growth initiatives for the company’s restaurant and catering business.
