Lemon Tree Hotel Project Announced for Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu

Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the signing of a new hotel project in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. The property will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited.

With this addition, the company expands its presence in Tamil Nadu to eight properties, including six operational hotels and two upcoming developments.

Located in Kumbakonam, a city known for its temples, cultural heritage and regional tourism activity, the upcoming hotel is expected to cater to pilgrims, leisure travellers and business visitors travelling across southern Tamil Nadu.

The property will feature 66 guest rooms, along with facilities such as a multi-cuisine restaurant, banquet spaces, a business meeting room, a swimming pool, a spa, and a fitness centre.

Commenting on the development, Neelendra Singh, Managing Director of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd., said the company continues to focus on expanding across spiritual and cultural destinations in India.

He added that Kumbakonam’s connectivity to nearby cities such as Thanjavur and Tiruchirappalli makes it an important market for hospitality growth.

The hotel is located around 101 kilometres from Tiruchirappalli International Airport, while Kumbakonam Railway Station is situated approximately 300 metres from the property.

The signing forms part of Lemon Tree Hotels’ broader expansion strategy across Tier II and Tier III cities in India, particularly in tourism, transit and commercial corridors.
