Raffles Cambodia Launches ‘A Tale of Two Cities’ 7-Day Cambodia Journey Linking Phnom Penh and Siem Reap
Raffles Hotel Le Royal in Phnom Penh and Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor in Siem Reap have introduced a new seven-day package, ‘A Tale of Two Cities’, combining cultural exploration, heritage experiences, and stays at both historic properties.
The itinerary begins in Phnom Penh with accommodation at Raffles Hotel Le Royal, opened in 1929 and blending French colonial, Khmer, and Art Deco influences. Guests are welcomed by a Raffles Butler, who assists with arrangements, while the Resident Historian shares insights into the hotel’s past. Activities include guided visits to the Royal Palace, the National Museum of Cambodia with its lead curator, and afternoon tea with Her Highness Princess Chansita Norodom. Culinary highlights feature a Khmer fine-dining experience at Restaurant Le Royal and a local market tour.

On Day Four, guests travel by private helicopter to Siem Reap for a stay at Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, a property designed in the 1930s French Art Deco style. The Siem Reap programme includes guided exploration of Angkor’s major temples and lesser-known sites, a sunrise visit to Angkor Wat, a Vespa tour of the archaeological complex, a visit to Tonle Sap Lake, and a Khmer dinner at the hotel’s 1932 restaurant.
Further experiences include a trip to Banteay Srei temple, a visit to a royal-supported dance school, and viewing elephants in Kulen National Park. The stay concludes with a private temple dinner in Angkor Archaeological Park and a hot-air balloon ride over the temples and surrounding countryside.
The package is part of its global ‘The Butler Did It’ programme, which offers curated experiences with the assistance of Raffles butlers. Bookings require two months’ advance notice, with timing subject to seasonal factors and host availability.
