Qatar Airways Receives ‘Best Airline App 2025’ Award at World Aviation Festival
Qatar Airways has been recognized with the ‘Best Airline App 2025’ award at this year’s World Aviation Festival, one of the largest aviation technology events globally. The award was announced during the ‘Battle of the Airline Apps’, a side-by-side judged contest that began with travellers nominating their preferred airline app. The five top-rated apps were then evaluated by a jury based on user experience, mobile services, and digital features.
Christophe Guittard, Senior Vice President Business-to-Consumer at Qatar Airways, said: “Receiving this recognition reflects the focus and development behind our app. It highlights our ongoing commitment to providing a reliable and functional digital platform for our passengers.”
Travel Experience Features
The Qatar Airways app allows users to manage bookings across more than 170 destinations, track flights, and access updates and alerts. It also provides services such as automated refunds for eligible products and personalised notifications for travel milestones.
AI Integration with Sama
The app incorporates artificial intelligence through Sama, the AI Cabin Crew assistant, which helps passengers with flight options, destination information, and itinerary planning via voice or chat. Business Class passengers can view onboard menus and receive suggestions for meals, including specific dietary options.
The app aims to provide a convenient and informative digital experience for travellers throughout their journey.
