Tapestry Collection by Hilton to Launch in Sub‑Saharan Africa with Three New Properties
Hilton has announced the debut of its lifestyle brand Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Sub-Saharan Africa, following agreements for three properties: The Sterling Hotel in South Africa, Ava Hotel Nairobi in Kenya, and Zaria Court Kigali in Rwanda. These signings are part of Hilton’s continued expansion across Africa, with plans to open more than 100 hotels on the continent in the coming years.

Property Details
The Sterling Hotel – South Africa

Located in Sibaya, KwaZulu-Natal, between Umhlanga and Ballito, The Sterling Hotel will feature 111 guest rooms, a fitness centre, an all-day dining restaurant, a lobby café and bar, a terrace, and an outdoor pool. The hotel is near attractions such as Dolphin Coast beaches, Crocodile Creek, Sugar Rush Park, Natal Lion Park, and Tala Game Reserve. It is 15 minutes from King Shaka International Airport and 20 minutes from Durban International Convention Centre. Opening is expected in 2027.
Ava Hotel Nairobi – Kenya

Situated in Lavington, Nairobi, Ava Hotel will offer 91 guest rooms with design elements reflecting Kenyan heritage, meeting spaces, a rooftop bar and restaurant, an outdoor pool, and a fitness centre. The hotel provides access to Nairobi’s Central Business District and Jomo Kenyatta International Airport within 45 minutes. This will be Hilton’s fifth trading property in Kenya.
Zaria Court Kigali – Rwanda

Developed by NBA Champion Masai Ujiri’s Zaria Group, Zaria Court Kigali will mark Hilton’s first property in Rwanda. The hotel will have 80 guest rooms, a rooftop lounge, pool, fitness centre, all-day dining restaurant, sports bar, and co-working space. Located near Kigali’s BK Arena and Amahoro Stadium, the hotel is surrounded by restaurants, retail, and sports facilities, and is 15 minutes from Kigali International Airport.
Both Kenyan and Rwandan properties will be managed by Aleph Hospitality.
