Qatar Airways Resumes Daily Canberra Service via Melbourne

Qatar Airways’ resumed service to Canberra touched down on 2 December 2025, marking the return of its daily flights to the Australian capital via Melbourne. With this addition, Qatar Airways now operates across six Australian cities: Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra. The reinstated route offers broader global connectivity, increased choice, and more travel options for passengers across the ACT and surrounding regions.

The daily Boeing 777 service provides connections from Canberra to more than 170 destinations through Hamad International Airport in Doha. Passengers travelling in Qsuite Business Class can access fully lie-flat beds, sliding privacy doors, and on-demand à la carte dining featuring a menu created by Australian chef Ross Lusted.

All travellers can use complimentary high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, as Qatar Airways remains the only airline offering this service on flights to and from Canberra. The airline also continues to provide its established in-flight hospitality and comfort across all cabin classes.

Through its partnership with Virgin Australia, Qatar Airways enables passengers from Canberra to make smooth onward connections to major domestic destinations, including Sydney, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Melbourne, supporting convenient and flexible travel within Australia.

Services from Canberra will include the Qsuite configuration by default. Aircraft changes may occur if operationally required.
