Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol Opens in Los Cabos

Hyatt Hotels Corporation and RLH Properties have announced the opening of Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol, a new hotel in Mexico. Located along the coastline within the Cabo del Sol community, the resort introduces the Park Hyatt brand to Los Cabos, blending contemporary design with the relaxed atmosphere of Baja California Sur.

Design-Led Spaces Rooted in Place

The architectural concept, led by Sordo Madaleno, draws from historic elements of Mexican architecture, including courtyards, arcades, water features, and timber structures. These references are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens to create spaces that engage with the surrounding desert and sea, balancing openness with privacy.

The resort features 163 guestrooms and 88 suites, ranging from 452 to 1,254 square feet. All accommodations offer ocean or resort views, private terraces or patios, deep soaking tubs, and walk-in showers. Select rooms include private plunge pools.

Three ocean-view private villas are designed for families and multi-generational stays, including two-bedroom and three-bedroom Options. Each suite and villa includes generous living areas, full kitchens, and the support of a dedicated resort ambassador, creating a residential-style experience.

In addition to hotel stays, Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol offers a limited selection of 11 villas and 8 apartments for purchase. These four- to six-bedroom residences are fully furnished and feature biophilic design, locally sourced materials, and custom furnishings that reflect regional craftsmanship.

Dining with Regional and Global Influences

The resort opens with several dining concepts shaped by Executive Chef Miguel Gomez:

  • Mesa Madre – A Mexican restaurant inspired by home-style cooking and shared meals, offering menus that evolve throughout the day.

  • Costamar Beach Club – A beachfront venue serving coastal cuisine, small plates, and cocktails with views of the Sea of Cortéz.

  • Dátil Coffee Shop – An all-day café featuring Mexican-sourced coffee from regions such as Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Veracruz, along with house-made pastries.

Silán, the resort’s signature evening restaurant, is scheduled to open in spring 2026, introducing Levantine cuisine influenced by North Africa and the Middle East, prepared with seasonal Baja ingredients.

Wellness and Fitness

Wellness offerings include a 59,000-square-foot fitness and wellness centre, featuring a yoga studio, a beachside lap pool, and a 24-hour fitness facility.

Opening in Q1 2026, Araya Spa will offer personalised treatments designed around intention-based experiences, combining aromatherapy with tailored techniques. The spa will also include Araya Salon, providing grooming, hair, and beauty services using natural ingredients.

Meetings, Events, and Lifestyle Experiences

Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol offers 34,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, suitable for corporate meetings, private gatherings, and celebrations. Facilities range from small meeting rooms to the Nopal Ballroom and oceanfront event lawns, complemented by bespoke catering and modern audiovisual capabilities.

Guests also have access to the Tom Weiskopf–designed Cabo del Sol Golf Course and nearby Ánima Village, an open-air lifestyle destination featuring retail, dining, and art spaces.
