OUTRIGGER Opens Phi Phi Island Resort in Thailand

OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort Begins Operations in National Park Setting

OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group has announced the opening of OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort in Thailand, marking the latest addition to the company’s portfolio in the country alongside its properties in Koh Samui, Khao Lak, and Phuket.

Located within Hat Noppharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, the resort features 63 suites and villas set along the Andaman coastline, surrounded by limestone cliffs, tropical greenery, and white-sand beaches. Accessible only by boat, the property has been developed in accordance with the environmental guidelines of the protected national park.

Jeff Wagoner, President and CEO of OUTRIGGER Hospitality Group, said the opening reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding its presence in Thailand while maintaining a connection with the destination’s culture and environment.

The accommodation design is inspired by “Nit Thra”, a Thai concept centred around rest and relaxation. The interiors incorporate handcrafted furnishings, woven detailing, natural materials, and locally influenced design elements. Accommodation categories include Hilltop Ocean View Pool Villas, Beachfront Pool Villas, and Family Garden Villas.

Dining at the resort includes Mala Kitchen, which follows the Southern Thai “Samrub Thai” culinary philosophy focused on balanced flavours and traditional cooking techniques. Edgewater Bar & Grill offers seafood dishes, regional cuisine, and beverages overlooking the Andaman Sea.

Guests can also access a range of marine and cultural experiences, including PADI-certified diving excursions, eco-sensitive boat trips, Thai cooking sessions, and traditional bead-making activities inspired by the heritage of the indigenous Urak Lawoi community.

The resort also includes Zeavola Spa, a Coral Kids Club, and recreational facilities designed for families and leisure travellers.

According to the company, the resort has been built with local, organic materials, with a focus on natural ventilation, reduced waste generation, and environmental conservation practices aligned with the surrounding national park ecosystem.
