Oceania Cruises Marks America’s 250th Anniversary with Special 2026 Alaska and New England Voyages

Oceania Cruises has announced a curated collection of Alaska and New England voyages for 2026 to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary. Designed for travellers seeking immersive and refined exploration, the itineraries offer an opportunity to experience the landscapes, history and cultural heritage that have shaped the nation, aboard Oceania Cruises’ intimate luxury ships.

Between May and October 2026, the cruise line will operate 19 dedicated voyages across Alaska and New England. These sailings focus on unhurried exploration, combining iconic destinations with in-depth cultural, historical and nature-led experiences. From Alaska’s dramatic wilderness to New England’s historic coastal towns, the journeys reflect the enduring spirit and diversity of the United States.

In Alaska, guests will explore destinations including Juneau and Skagway, known for their Gold Rush history, alongside scenic cruising past glaciers, fjords and rugged coastlines. Highlights include sailing by Hubbard Glacier, wildlife viewing opportunities, and optional adventures such as helicopter flightseeing and glacier trekking.

In New England, itineraries feature ports rich in American history, including Boston, widely regarded as the birthplace of the American Revolution, and Newport, Rhode Island, known for its Gilded Age mansions. Guests will also visit destinations such as Bar Harbor, with its coastal scenery and heritage sites, and experience regional traditions including lobster bakes and autumn foliage viewing.

The sailings will be operated aboard Oceania Riviera™ and Oceania Vista®, offering a contrast between rugged destinations and refined onboard comfort. Ships feature spacious staterooms and suites, some extending up to nearly 2,500 square feet, along with multiple specialty dining venues, including Jacques and Polo Grill, which form part of the brand’s culinary focus.

Each voyage includes opportunities for deeper engagement through small-group shore excursions, wilderness experiences and onboard enrichment programmes such as The Culinary Center, LYNC Digital Center, and the Artist Loft.

Selected 2026 voyages include:

  • Alaska Discoverer: A 10-day voyage from Seattle to Vancouver, departing 25 May 2026 aboard Oceania Riviera. The itinerary includes calls at Ketchikan, Wrangell, Icy Strait Point (Hoonah) and Juneau, along with scenic cruising through Holkham Bay Glacier Fjords, concluding in Vancouver.

  • Alaska Horizons: A 12-day roundtrip voyage from Seattle, departing 2 July 2026 aboard Oceania Riviera. Highlights include a July 4 visit to Ketchikan, stops in Juneau and Skagway, cruising past Hubbard Glacier, a cultural visit to Klawock, and calls at Victoria before returning to Seattle.

Together, these voyages offer a commemorative and immersive way to explore America’s natural beauty and historical legacy during a milestone year.
