Motto by Hilton Recife Opens as Brand Enters Brazil
Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo Debuts in Historic District
Hilton has announced the opening of Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo, marking the lifestyle brand’s debut in Brazil and Hilton’s first hotel in Recife.
Developed in partnership with REVPAR Incorporações, MUV Empreendimentos and Atlantica Hospitality International, the 132-room property is located in Recife Antigo, the city’s historic district. The opening expands Hilton’s presence in Brazil and introduces the Motto by Hilton brand to the country.
Known for its canals, colonial architecture, and cultural heritage, Recife is an important tourism and business destination in northeastern Brazil. The hotel is situated close to Marco Zero, the city’s historic centre, and offers convenient access to local attractions, cultural sites and Boa Viagem Beach.

Commenting on the opening, Maxime Verstraete, Vice President, Brand Management, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton, said the hotel reflects the character of Recife while introducing the Motto by Hilton brand to the Brazilian market.
Design Inspired by Pernambuco
The hotel’s design draws inspiration from the landscapes and cultural identity of Pernambuco State. Public spaces incorporate natural materials and regional influences, while guest corridors feature artwork inspired by Cordel literature, a traditional form of Brazilian storytelling.
The rooftop area draws inspiration from the coastal environment, while interior spaces reflect elements of the region’s inland landscapes.
Accommodation
Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo offers 132 guestrooms equipped with multifunctional furniture and flexible layouts designed to suit different travel needs.
Accommodation options include rooms with bunk beds and sofa beds, while Hilton’s Confirmed Connecting Room technology allows guests to reserve connecting rooms in advance. The hotel features 42 connecting rooms, with some configurations allowing up to four rooms to be linked together.
Dining and Social Spaces
The hotel includes a rooftop restaurant serving breakfast with views of the sea and nearby waterways. A café on the ground floor is open to both hotel guests and local visitors, creating a social space connected to the surrounding neighbourhood.
Dining venues have been designed to reflect local culture and regional culinary influences while providing gathering spaces for travellers and residents.
Expanding Hilton’s Presence in Brazil
Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo joins Hilton’s growing portfolio in Brazil, where the company currently operates more than 25 hotels. Hilton also has plans for additional developments across the country as part of its broader expansion strategy in Latin America.
The opening strengthens Hilton’s presence in northeastern Brazil while introducing the Motto by Hilton brand to a new market.
